Unit 3
Rating my Physical, Spiritual and Psychological Well Being
On a scale from 1 - 10, I rate myself physical well being a 8, because I am healthy. I do not take any kind of medications for anything. There are sometimes when I do get a headache from pollen or a stressful day that I need an aspirin. I have been eating right, and doing my best to stay fit. To tell you the truth, between my kids, and my nieces and nephews, I am staying in shape...lol!! They have so much energy to burn. I exercise by, playing volleyball, and badminton. You know I still got it going on..!!My goal in this area, is to keep striving for perfection. I have a certain weight that I want to be and I am pushing myself to get there.
Spiritually I rate myself a 10. This is one area that I work on really hard. To always pray and meditate on the Word of God, and other things that will help me to stay positive. Always encouraging others, and doing what I can to always "KEEP IT REAL". In Ministry, I see so many hurting people, and want to be a positive example in their life. Letting them know that by staying focus, and meditating daily, with positive thoughts, you can make it. I am a Believer. My goal is to continue to be an example for others, letting them know that whatever situations they face, even though it may seem dark, there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Psychologically I rate myself an 8. Even though, I have never been in an Institution for any mental disorder. A day here with the "CONEY" family, makes you wanna yell and scream at the top of your lungs..lol!! I have so much fun with my family, because with all of the joking, clowning around, and laughing until your stomach hurts, you cannot get depressed because there is never a dull moment as long as my kids are here!!...When it is quiet, I can say that I enjoy it so much Ahhh!! Sometimes, I don't know what to do when it is that quiet. I do not have any phobias, but I am afraid of spiders and snakes,,,,My goal is to stay healthy mentally, and do my best to live a stress free life...yeah right....I know, but I am going to try anyway!!
Relaxation Exercise
"The Crime of the Century"
I really did not understand why it was called this, but hey all I know is I was very relaxed. I am getting better, (this time I did not fall asleep), but I was cutting it very close..lol!! This tape starts off really great, getting you to relax, while you are going on a journey imagining the colors of light, and the windows. I love tapes like this because it seems as though I am really there. I mean I know that is strange, but I feel that way. I really enjoyed the tape. It was not hard for me to concentrate. It was a very good exercise.

I fell asleep this time during the mediatation but it had been a hectic week. That guys voice is just so relaxing and nice to listen to, hypnotizing, you know. I look forward to trying again.
ReplyDeleteI am glad that you have a great family and are very healthy. I am curious about the "KEEP IT REAL" in your spritual area. What does it mean? I have never heard it before. I may be missing the point but it never hurts to ask.
Hello Tammy,
DeleteIt is very understandable to fall asleep after having a hectic week. I agree, his voice is so soothing, and easy to listen to. Well, Tammy, when I say that I "KEEP IT REAL", I mean that I tell the truth. So many today will not tell the truth about what is going on in their lives. I am an open book. for example if I am having a bad day, I will tell you or if I messed up, i will say Tammy, pray for me, I messed up this time. I am striving for perfection, I have not reached it yet. Sometimes, people (Christians) are too spiritual, and not being real. I hope this helps you to understand me. Thanks for asking!
Spiritfree777 Hi good post, life seems well rounded for you and very lively. It appears you have the corner market on activity and keeping fit LOL. As for your walk with Christ if we could be Jesus with skin on that would be ideal (that is my life goal). and we can all live a stress free life if we allow Christ to take charge and look for the positive in all we do. Have a great week Pam12
ReplyDeleteHi Pam,
DeleteMy family keeps me going, they are always doing something. Recently Pam, I have played the Wii games, and love doing that also. I saw a new exercise tape called Zumba, I think that is the name of it. I told my girls, we are going to work out, knowing in my mind,I will be the one all WORKED OUT...before it is over with...LOL!! I am really working on the weight thing. i find drinking plenty of water and not eating anything heavy after 6pm, has helped me a lot.
I agree, Pam, if we could be Jesus with skin on, that would really be ideal....this is a great way to live your life, striving to achieve this goal, and truly, I am striving toward this goal as well...looking forward to hearing more from you...Best wishes to you in your studies, and your future achievements!
Hi
ReplyDeleteI was wondering the same thing about the title of the meditation tape! but none the less it was effect and provided some great exercise for expanding the imagination which in turn expands the mind...
