My name is Linda Perry Coney. I live in Amite, Louisiana. I am about 45 minutes from Baton Rouge. I have 3 children, Nigel, Angel, and Gabrielle. They are so precious to me. I enrolled here at Kaplan in 2010, and I am 49 years old. I love this school, and my Professors. I am studying and working on my BA in Psychology with my focus on Behavioral Analysis I am thinking about going for my Masters. I am an Evangelist/Prophet, and I do a lot of traveling. I love ministering to people, and I enjoy working with children with disabilities. I also love writing poems and songs, and soon I will be writing my first book soon...I am very excited about that.

Hi Linda, I couldn't wait to be able to leave you a comment on your blog! You did a great job designing it. Your work ministering to others must be exciting and brings meaning to your life. You are a counselor? I, too, am working on my BS in Psychology and I should graduate this coming December. I started June of 2010. I am 55 years old and babysitting my granddaughters right now! Family is a blessing.....

DeleteThank you, it was hard for me to decide what I wanted to do. I am so fascinated with butterflies and the outdoors, so I decided to put the two together. Ministering to others is very exciting, and yes, it does bring meaning to my life. i can talk to others and share my experiences with them. Just by being able to speak words of comfort,and encouragement or even giving a hug, and watching the smiles, and tears of relief of people young and old hurting. just motivates me to continue in what I do. I am 47, and I am not a grandmother yet, but I do have some god babies, that keep me moving. They are a blessing to me. I am so excited for you, getting ready to graduate in December, Congrats to you!! I will not be too far behind you...Thank you for your kind words, I really appreciate you. ReplyDeleteMy name is Anna; I live in Seattle, Washington. I am a mother of four; Elijah, Isaac, Natalie, and Nicholas. My children are what continue to inspire me to do better each and every day. I am 33, and I am attending Kaplan University to obtain my Bachelors in Social Sciences Child and Family Welfare). I enjoy very much attending Kaplan as well, as there are many great instructors at Kaplan. I am a Christian, but baptized Catholic. I enjoy working with children and adults of Developmental Disabilities. It seems as though we are a lot of similar things, I am also writing a book, but don’t plan to publish till my graduating year at Kaplan University. You did not mention what you thought about the relaxation exercise, were you able to check it out? I am fairly new to it all, it was a pretty good experience, it provided me with a second wind, and my daughter on the other hand fell right to sleep! Well I look forward to keeping in touch virtually!

DeleteReading your post, I can say that we do have some similar things in common. I am christian also.I just love your children names. I know what you mean, in being inspired by your children, because even when things are not going so well, it seems they know just what to say or do to make you feel better. They are beautiful children, you have done very well raising them. I do not have to see you to talk like this. I can hear a persons' name, and I can tell that they have a sweet spirit, like you do. Well, I did do the exercise, and let me tell you Anna,....I went to sleep...lol!! I did not plan on it, and I really did not know if I was suppose to go to sleep, but I did...when I woke up, I was so refreshed and full of energy.I am looking forward to sharing with you again.
